
Fonda Vamvakas has been in the automotive repair business for over 18 years. He started Sterling Automotive Repair to help make a better life for his family, including wife Sally, daughter Jacqueline, and son Nick, and their two dogs Max and Madeline. Over the years he has grown the business and used it to help individuals and organizations across DuPage and Kane County.
Dedicated to customer service and technical expertise, Sterling is a member of the Automotive Technical Institute Professional Development Group, a select group of service providers in the top 5% of the industry, who pursue continuing education and concentrate on improving customer service, legal, technical and management issues.
Sterling and the Vamvakas Family are proud supporters of the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, The DuPage County Veteran’s Welfare Association, Haiti Recovery Fund, Christ Church of Oak Brook and Naperville Baseball.

Fonda hails from Franklin Park where he grew up before moving to Canada. Fonda had a short stint playing hockey. He opened Sterling Automotive in 1995. He is a proud husband of 27 years, father of a teenage son and daughter and dog-owner. Loyal to the Chicago Blackhawks, Fonda is also a fan of Ditka’s Restaurant.

When she has the downtime, Margie loves a good book, visiting the Paramount theater to catch local musical theatre or just cooking in. She’s originally from Westchester, Illinois. Margie has been happily married for more than twenty years and is the proud mother of two boys and a dog Wrigley. Go Cubs!
